Job Summary:
The Finance and Membership Coordinator serves on the Finance Team under the supervision of Executive Director and is responsible for Membership, Financial, and General Administrative functions while supporting and coordinating operations with the departments and outside the organization.
Responsibilities:
- First tier support for internal and external requests directed to the Finance Department CBI memberships, member contributions, member support for Shul Cloud questions and associated administrative tasks.
· Cash operations involving intake and processing of member payments on Shul Cloud
· Correspondence and communication with CBI members, programs, and administration regarding establishing and management of CBI annual memberships, including changes, cancelation, disputes, and terminations.
· Manage all daily transactions pertaining to Shul Cloud
· Update/create membership forms and renewal forms each year in Shul Cloud
· Troubleshooting of membership accounts with emphasis on customer service.
Membership:
- Annual renewal notifications and membership fee settlement to include sending regular statements of account.
· Correspondence and communication with membership for setup, terminations, database management, information updates, chargebacks, and/or dispute resolution.
· Customer service for account setup, access, and membership management.
· Review of membership units, accounts, types, and unit data management.
· Maintaining accurate membership database information for reporting, analytics, engagement, and collection. Oversight of membership intake and setup with reception.
· Generating membership reports as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
· Good written and oral communication skills; focus on excellent internal/external customer relations.
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft suite, Excel, and Google Docs
· Analysis and critical thinking skills; Ability to maintain security and confidentiality with financial records and transactions.
· Self-direction and time management abilities.
· General understanding of accounting principles.
· Ability to learn and train independently, apply knowledge and skills with software interfaces.
Qualifications:
Education:
· Associate Accounting degree preferred or related field acceptable.
Experience:
· Accounts Payable and general bookkeeping skills.
· Experience with checks and transaction handling.
· Non-Profit Accounting experience preferred.
· Customer service skills and experience with public interfaces.
Substitution:
· Two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in lieu of degree.
· Experience in customer service industry
