We will again assemble volunteers from CBI to join other congregations in a House of Faith project by Habitat for Humanity, building a new home for a qualifying family in 2026. As before, this represents a hand up, not a hand out for families who must contribute considerable sweat equity, fulfill mortgage obligations and uphold home maintenance standards required of all residents. And a mitzvah opportunity for all of us.
For this year’s project, our work will be mainly indoors. NO experience required. Safety precautions are a top priority. For years, CBI has dedicated volunteers who participate in this opportunity for Tikkun Olam. Camaraderie in spades. Acquire bucketloads of building skills. Delightful fun doing serious work. Please mark your calendars and notify me if/when you will be available so we can fill our reserved slots asap.
