As we near the traditional day of study and reflection for burial societies,
Zayin Adar, we share the
2024 Revised Guide to Jewish Death and Mourning Customs in Western North Carolina which guides our efforts. You are invited to the WNC Chevre Kaddisha’s observance of Zayin Adar. Folks who participate in
shmirah, taharah, or
chesed are invited to attend, along with those who are interested in learning more and/or possibly assisting with these
mitzvot in the future.
This will take place on Thursday, March 6 at 5:30 at Chabad-Lubavitch of WNC at 127 McDowell Street and include a study led by Rabbi Chaya Suskind and a shared meal provided by Chabad.
