The following guide is designed to provide the most current
information for caregivers available in the greater AshevilleBuncombe County area.
Jewish Family Services- JFS

Senior Care Management is a compassionate, comprehensive service that offers
• In-Home Assessments evaluating your loved one’s living situation and care
needs.
• Personalized Care Plans developed to meet physical, cognitive, emotional
and environmental needs.
• Coordination of Services ensuring your loved one has access to the support
needed.
• Professional Counseling for seniors and their caregivers.
• Ongoing Care Monitoring including support during transitions such as
assisted living. (Note: This is a fee-based program.)
Faye’s Place Elder Club
Are you caring for an older adult who may be isolated, unable to get out on a
regular basis or simply needs socialization? Do you know a senior with a physical
limitation and/or a mild to moderate memory challenge? If so, Faye’s Place Group
Respite Program may be a wonderful opportunity. Faye’s Place meets three days
a week in Asheville (10am-2pm Tue, Wed, Thur) and one day a week in
Hendersonville (Tue). to provide socialization and support in a group setting
through peer-to-peer communication and peer-level understanding of common
memories and life experiences. Services are provided in Buncombe and
Henderson counties. (Note: There is a nominal fee for participation.)
Healing Solutions Counseling
Healing Solutions Counseling at JFS provides unique and coordinated services that
will engage you in identifying your needs, strengths, and goals. Licensed therapists
will meet with clients in the home virtually and in residential facilities for those
who are unable to come to our offices. Therapy sessions are safe, private, and
confidential, and provide the following services:
• Professional counseling to individuals and couples in a confidential setting
• Depression, Stress Management, Trauma, Relationship Problems, Anxiety,
Adjustment Disorders, Healthy Aging, Parenting Issues, Grief & Loss,
LGBTQAI+ support
• Collaboration & referrals to community healthcare professionals
• Medicare, BCBSNC, United Healthcare, Humana, WellCare and Aetna are
accepted. Please inquire about other insurance options.
• Affordable sliding scale fees for those without insurance
• Therapy modalities include CBT, ACT, DBT, ART (Accelerated Resolution
therapy) and solutions-based therapies

Area Agency on Aging
Area Agency on Aging (AAA) promotes the highest level of well-being of older
adults and their families by partnering with organizations to provide a
comprehensive system of opportunities, services, and protective services. The AAA
is a leader and catalyst in helping older adults in a four-county region lead more
independent, vibrant lives. As part of a national network of aging agencies
established by the Older Americans Act, this agency works to strengthen home
and community care for older adults.
