This three–part series will introduce the magic and majesty of the biblical book of Kohelet (Ecclesiastes). Participants will study the text in translation and discuss its application to our rapidly changing and highly volatile world. Beginning with an overview of the book in its historical and literary contexts, the course will explore Kohelet’s philosophy of life, his theology and approach to randomness, along with his views on the ultimate purpose of humanity. No prior background is required.
The class is free, however you will need a copy of the book : The Five Megilloth and Jonah, introduction written by H.L. Ginsberg. A link to purchase on amazon is HERE
