Dear CBI Community,
As a result of the devastation of Asheville from Hurricane Helene, the synagogue building currently has no water and no power and will be closed until further notice, unfortunately including for Rosh Hashanah and at least through Shabbat.
We will update everyone as soon as possible about reopening plans. Currently none of the synagogue staff have any power, water, or Internet, which makes communication next to impossible. We will communicate more and more frequently as soon as we are able.
Also, Jewish Family Services of Western NC has limited supplies and is working hard to get services to the community. Follow them on Facebook for the latest updates about when they are open.
