 8:30pm\n\nJessica Jacobs’s powerful new book of poems\, unalone\, follow
 s the twelve parshiyot of The\nBook of Genesis.  Drawing on her deep know
 ledge of Genesis\, especially the rich midrashic\nreadings of Genesis\, Ja
 cobs crafts illuminating poems that bring the ancient texts into our\ncont
 emporary lives.\nIn this class\, we’ll read and discuss the poems in una
 lone. We may also do some midrashic\nwriting of our own.  Jessica Jacobs 
 will join us for one of the four sessions.\n\nJessica Jacobs is the author
  of unalone\, poems in conversation with the Book of Genesis\n(forthcoming
  from Four Way Books\, March 2024)\; Take Me with You\, Wherever You’re 
 Going (Four\nWay Books\, 2019)\, one of Library Journal’s Best Poetry Bo
 oks of the Year\, winner of the Devil’s\nKitchen and Goldie Awards\, and
  a finalist for the Brockman-Campbell\, American Fiction\, and Julie\nSuk 
 Book Awards\; Pelvis with Distance (White Pine Press\, 2015)\, a biography
 -in-poems of Georgia\nO’Keeffe\, winner of the New Mexico Book Award in 
 Poetry and a finalist for the Lambda Literary\nAward\; and co-author of Wr
 ite It! 100 Poetry Prompts to Inspire (Spruce Books/Penguin\nRandom House)
 .  She is the founder and executive director of Yetzirah: A Hearth for Je
