DESCRIPTION:Selichot Program Announcement\n\nAs part of our spiritual prepa
 ration for the High Holidays\, a Selichot program will be held\non Saturda
 y\, September 28 th \, 8 PM (please arrive early though). We will begin wi
 th a Havdalah service promptly at 8pm\,  followed by desert and a viewing
 /discussion of the film\, Rabbi on the Block.\n\nThis inspiring documentar
 y is the story of Tamar Manassah\, a black woman\, a rabbi\, and a\ncommun
 ity organizer from the South Side of Chicago. She has tirelessly pursued s
 ocial\njustice as the founder of Mothers and Men Against Senseless Killing
 s and a champion\nfor reproductive rights and gun control. As a black woma
 n and a Jewish activist\, she\nhas brought together diverse communities in
  her effort as a Jew to repair the world.\n\nAs we embark on the High Holi
 days\, please join us\, as we collectively explore the timely\nand thought
 -provoking topics raised by this film. Please bring your favorite dessert 
 to\nshare and\, if feasible\, arrive early as we will begin promptly as th
 e sun sets on Shabbat at 7:55pm.\n\n&nbsp\;
