 erty Street\, Asheville\n\nThe training program has been intentionally div
 ided into two distinct sessions\, each tailored to\naddress the specific r
 esponsibilities and operational challenges faced by distinct roles within 
 our\nteams. By addressing both the immediate tactical needs of our greeter
 s and door monitors and the\nstrategic decision-making requirements of our
  leadership\, this program is designed to cultivate a well-\nrounded\, hig
 hly effective security team capable of safeguarding our community under di
 verse\ncircumstances.\nThe training is a unique one-time offering to the m
 ember institutions of the WNC Jewish Security Task\nForce. It complements 
 and follows The Community Security Service (thecss.org) Synagogue Level 1\
 ntraining for greeters and security team members. Working again with Troys
 gate\, based in Lenoir\, NC\,\nthis training complements and practically e
 xtends CSS’s curriculum to the most likely incidents.\nThe training addr
 esses the following needs identified by the planning team:\na) A morning s
 ession designed for door greeters/monitors and security team members\nb) A
 n afternoon session for our security team leadership.\n\nPlease ensure tha
 t you invite your door greeters and monitors to the morning\nsession. The 
 entire cost of the program is underwritten by a grant\; however\,\nregiste
 ring in advance is required\, and space is somewhat limited.\n\n9:00-12:00
 noon Morning Session (General Training for Greeters/Door Monitors and Secu
 rity Team)\nEmergency Evacuation Training and Crowd Control: Recognizing t
 hat safety during emergencies\nrequires clear procedures and coordinated e
 fforts\, this segment will educate participants on the\nefficient evacuati
 on of individuals while ensuring that vulnerable populations\, including m
 inors\,\nindividuals with special needs\, or those with mobility challenge
 s\, are evacuated.\nVetting Visitors: Frontline personnel play a crucial r
 ole in preempting security breaches. This training\nwill cover initial ass
 essment and contact\, identity capture\, behavior analysis\, and context m
 atching\, all\nof which lead to decisions regarding entry permission.\nRem
 oving Belligerents: This training module focuses on safe and controlled me
 thods for managing\ndisruptive behavior at door entry points. It aims to e
 quip personnel with tactical know-how to de-\nescalate situations and\, if
  necessary\, safely remove individuals who may pose a threat.\n\n12:00noon
 -1:00pm Lunch Break\n\n1:00-4:00 pm Afternoon Session (Security Team Leade
 rship Training)\nVerbal Judo/Conflict Resolution: Effective communication 
 is a cornerstone of security\nmanagement. This module will train leaders i
 n advanced de-escalation techniques\, emphasizing non-\nconfrontational co
 mmunication strategies to manage unfamiliar individuals and known congrega
 tion\nmembers.\nHandling Unruly Individuals\, Groups\, and Protests: Given
  the unpredictable nature of public\ninteractions\, this session will equi
 p security leaders with the skills necessary for rapid intervention. It\nf
 ocuses on the practical aspects of managing disruptive crowds and maintain
 ing a safe environment\nduring public dissent.\nCrisis Decision-Making Pla
 nning: Under pressure\, making the right decision quickly can be the\ndiff
 erence between order and chaos. This part of the training will delve into 
 effective crisis\nmanagement practices and cover current legal considerati
 ons\, such as the proper execution of pat-\ndowns and manual inspections\,
  to ensure that every decision is swift and compliant with legal\nstandard
 s.\n\nREGISTRATION FOR TRAINING\n\nSecurity Team Leaders: Please circulate
