  and writer Joanna Chen will talk about the essence of writing and liter
 ary translation as a way of listening more intently to other voices in the
  world. She’ll also be discussing the aftermath of publication of “Fr
 om the Edges of a Broken World\,” Chen’s essay about her experiences 
 in post October 7 Israel. The essay sparked a widely-publicized controvers
 y after many of the editors of Guernica\, a literary magazine of global a
 rts and politics that first published "Broken World\," resigned in protest
