 history of humans in the land of Israel goes back well over 1 million year
 s. Perhaps no land in the world has been the focal point of sanctity and s
 piritual meaning\, as well as religious\, political\, and military conflic
 t. Looking at four distinct narrative timelines\, we will explore the hist
 ory of the land which both Israelis and Palestinians call home\, with the 
 intention to better understand what makes the contemporary state of the Is
 raeli-Palestinian conflict so complicated. Bringing over 20 years of histo
 rical and archaeological study\, Justin will contextualize major historic 
 events in Europe and the Middle East over many centuries which were a dire
