 al Opportunity\n\nHebrew is one of the oldest spoken languages and is the 
 sacred language of the Jewish\npeople. Dating back to the 10 th century BC
 E\, Hebrew remained the spoken language of\nthe Jewish people until 200 CE
 . After a 2000-year hiatus\, spoken Hebrew celebrated a\nrevival in the 19
  th century. Today\, there are again over 9 million native speakers and\nH
 ebrew\, Lashon Hakodesh\, the tongue of holiness\, is the language of our 
 worship.\nThe Adult Education Committee considers Hebrew to be a core elem
 ent of Jewish\neducation at CBI. Existing Hebrew proficiency among our mem
 bers varies widely. Our\ngoal is to create ongoing and sustainable educati
 onal opportunities that meets this\nvariability and works to advance Hebre
 w skills within our community. We have begun\nplanning for a Hebrew Ulpan/
 Studio in which four levels of study may be available:\n1. Basic Hebrew\n2
 . Siddur/Prayerbook Hebrew\n3. Biblical Hebrew (Trope/cantillation)\n4. Mo
 dern conversational Hebrew\nWe invite interested members of the Congregati
 on to attend our inaugural meeting on\nSunday\, February 18 th at 3 PM in 
 the CBI Social Hall. This will simply be an opportunity\nto gather and for
 mulate plans for how best to move forward. We encourage\nstakeholders from
  the Ritual Committee and the native Hebrew speakers from our\ncommunity t
 o attend. Your input will be invaluable to the planning and implementation
