ked for the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) and Andrew\nGoodman was a c
ollege student from New York who volunteered to work on voter\nregistratio
n\, education\, and Civil Rights as part of the 1964 Mississippi Summer Pr

 ches in Mississippi\,\nincluding Neshoba’s Mount Zion Baptist Church\, w
here Schwerner had once worked.\nBefore setting the Mt. Zion ablaze\, the
Klan severely beat several people attending a\nmeeting there. Upon hearing
this news\, the three civil rights workers traveled from Ohio\,\nwhere th
ey were training\, to Mississippi. At 4 PM\, on the drive to Meridian\, th
