NEW FOR TEENS THIS YEAR:  SB Extra! offers 3 days of action-packed day trips planned especially for teens aged 13-17.

ShofarBlast Camp Information for Kids 18 months-13 years

  • In order to know how much staff to hire, we need your registration ASAP.
  • ShofarBlast programs cost only $18 per camp day if you register by August 20. For a further discount, you may volunteer at ShofarBlast; call Rebecca Gholson at 255-1947 before sending in your registration for a confidential discussion.  Snacks are provided.
  • For children ages 18 months-3 years, counselors engage children in imaginative activities, singing and simple games.
  • For children ages 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12 counselors engage children in indoor and outdoor games and crafts with holiday themes. A fun and interactive prayer service is held each day.
  • Both Rosh Hashanah camp days are from 10AM-1PM.
  • Kol Nidre evening camp is from 6:30PM-8:30PM.
  • There are two Yom Kippur camp sessions: 10AM-1PM and from 5PM to the end of services. Pay $18 for one or both sessions, but please let us know which session(s) your child(ren) will attend so we can arrange staffing.
  • Because ShofarBlast is a volunteer-led program, parents of enrolled campers may be called or emailed in advance of the High Holidays and asked to help in a 1-hour volunteer capacity, such as serving one day’s snack or leading a pre-planned craft.
  • Please call Rebecca Gholson at 255-1947 with any questions.
